Basic information and a rough idea about some of my store policies. I try to accommodate my clients and, because I am a small shop, I have more flexibility to do so.
A big advantage of shopping at a small, family-owned store is flexibility. I want to work with you to make sure your jewelry or engagement ring purchase is smooth. To that end, I am flexible and want you to be happy. Most of my policies are more lenient towards you especially if there are circumstances discussed before the purchase. However, my leniency has been taken advantage of in the past, which I want to avoid going forward.
Included With Your Purchase
With your purchase, your jewelry will come in a jewelry box and receipt. On purchases of over $1000, there will also be an appraisal and any other documentation associated with the purchase such as a diamond grading report.
We prefer you pay with a bank transfer or check. Please contact us for more details about the transfer. New clients maybe required to pay with a bank transfer depending on the situation. We reserve the right to refuse to sell to anyone who we deem unlikely to pay.
We want to know our clients. Thus, if you live in or near Kansas City, we want you to visit our studio. Otherwise, we ship all jewelry overnight using Express Mail from USPS. It is insured for the complete amount of the purchase through our special jewelry insurance. An adult over 21 years old will have to sign for it. For online purchases, the turn around time is normally between 5-10 business days after the purchase. The cost is about $50. We do not ship international.
Refunds and Returns
Refunds vary from product to product. Custom jewelry is non-refundable; however, we will work with you to tailor the piece to your liking. Estates pieces and jewelry sold from our inventory is returnable for a full refund within a reasonable time frame - around 30 days. Diamonds greater than 0.40 carat are eligible for returns with a full refund for 60 days. Any returned item may have a restocking fee associated with it. Refunds are made in the same form as original payment, and the buyer is responsible for returning the item meaning they will have to cover return shipping. No refund will be issued until we have the jewelry. If it is damaged, the client maybe liable for repairs. If you have any questions, please notify us before your purchase; we will work with you.
We want our customers to wear their jewelry and want it to fit well. Our general policy is we size it until it fits. However, sizing rings up significant amounts and significant alterations to the piece may be charged just to cover the cost of materials and labor.
